Mac Fly logo shirts
11 August 2009

Last night Melika broke out the good old Minolta and we made pictures as to present the new Mac Fly logo t-shirts. I based my design on one of my favorite 90’s movies and mixed it with a subtle pyramid pattern I drew up. Available at the store or through the online shop. 20€ excl. shipping. Support the movement.

Sneak peax
26 June 2009
Yesterday Topo and Anna showed me what they’re cooking up for tonight’s exhibition.

Re-Use-It is an abandoned garage taken by youths. In the back a Venezuelan writer was doing his thing and another guy was playing what appeared to be a didgeridoo and a cooking pan. He’s also performing tonight. Sounded great.

Wine n Juice n Azer
24 June 2009

You know the drill. Saturday June 27th = red wine, orange juice and my boy Azer on the deck (that’s right). Mac Fly, Bagattenstraat 5, Gent.
Panatopo
13 June 2009
My boy Topo and fellow artist Anna are doing an exhibition at Re-Use-It, an abandoned building right by the shop which has been taken by youths and put to use as a window gallery and art space. Their show is called Panatopo, and the Macflypod will serve as music selector device during the opening, on June 26th. I’ll put up some sneak peeks within the next couple days. Scan of the flyer:

The Family
5 June 2009

The last couple of days we’ve been re-decorating the shop for tomorrow’s art opening. Hoping to see y’all tomorrow.
Kristof Van Heeschvelde exhibition at Mac Fly
14 May 2009

Time has come for another instore event, so I invited a talented Gent-based artist over to exhibit his work. June 6th is the day young and upcoming painter Kristof Van Heeschvelde will present a series of visual works, main subject being family. Feel free to come have a drink and chat at the opening.
Last night me and Melika went over for a studio visit. Some of her shots:

Opening last weekend was great!
3 March 2009

Brussels really represented past Saturday at the shop. Drinks were served, conversations held and cigarettes smoked. Both wHo? and Parole laid down the finishing touches while Laid Back’s brand new beta online player app was shown. After the opening everybody headed down to Roerkuip where Eric and me forced music upon people via Ableton and Luigi and Azer played massive records. It was a great day. Thanks, my Laid Back people!
